Active membership in LVIA is limited to residents or property owners in Leona Valley. Associate membership is available to persons owning businesses or employed in Leona Valley, or former active members. The membership year runs from April 1 to March 31.

LVIA was formed for the purpose of promoting the improvement of Leona Valley for the benefit of its residents and property owners. The Board consists of the President, First and Second Vice Presidents, Treasurer, Recording and Corresponding Secretaries, and Newsletter Editor. Elections are held at the September General Meeting. There are several Committees in charge of running various community activities, including Gymkhanas, Community and Gymkhana Queens and Boosters.
